Syphilis is passed on through unprotected sex. It infects the urethra (bum) vulva or cervix in women and the penis or foreskin on men.

Symptoms include:

  • Painful sores can appear on the body (vagina, penis, anus and mouth)

Treatment:

A course of Penicillin, Antibiotic Tablets. If untreated Syphilis can become very serious and over time could damage major organs in the body which could be fatal.
