Frazer Guidelines
Frazer guidelines for under 16's
If you are under 16, you will need to comply with the following Frazer guidelines during registration. If you are over 16, then the guidelines do not apply to you.
This is a confidential service which works within the 'Frazer Guidelines'. The guidelines are as follows:
- The young person signing the form must understand the advice given to him/her and must have sufficient maturity to understand all implications.
- The young person is very likely to have sexual intercourse with or without contraceptive advice/treatment
- The young person can not be persuaded to inform his/her parents/guardian or carer that advice/treatment on contraception has been sought
- The young person's mental or physical health or both might suffer unless he or she receives contraceptive advice and/or treatment
- It is in the young person's best interest to receive the advice or treatment even without parental/guardian/carer consent
- The worker is satisfied that these guidelines are being met
